Casting Convergent-Divergent Nozzles in Epoxy Clicks=5186
02/02/2004 Cast three CD nozzles for performance testing that are as similar to each other (except expansion ratio) as possible. The three ratios will be 2:1, 3:1 and 4:1. These being test pieces, weight is not an issue. Each nozzle will be housed in a 1 1/2 in. steel coupling that will connect to a steel pipe and high pressure tested (up to 600psi) using tapered stoppers (also cast using a 2 part RTV).

Chemical Parachute Deployment Clicks=5504
12/23/2004: Using a check valve, determine if chemical deployment will work when launched under extreme thrust. A ball is used to stop the vinegar from rushing forward during high g deceleration after thrust yet float out of the way when flipped at apogee.

Computing Center of Pressure Clicks=2332
The Barrowman equations permit you to determine the stability of your rocket by finding the location of the center of pressure (CP).
